"A Great Place To Grow"

We want to thank you for taking time to stop by this website.  First Baptist Church seeks to honor the Lord by serving Him in worship, ministry and missions.  Our goal with this site is to help provide you with a thumbnail sketch of who we are as a congregation.  We also hope to keep those who are members and regular attenders up to date on upcoming events that might be of interest to you.  Remember that your family is always welcome to be a part of our church family!

First Baptist Church of Versailles is a family type of church.  We offer activities for children of all ages!  One of our greatest strengths as a ministry is the fellowship we share.  To be a part of this church is to be a part of a family where you are encouraged to exercise your spiritual giftedness and be available to minister to others,  I hope you will enjoy this church family and be a part of something special!

At First Baptist Church, Versailles our desire is to continue sharing Jesus through friendship, service, and love!

Videos from David Ring's presentation along with the Versailles Chamber Choir and Redeemed Trio are available on DVD in the church office and on YouTube @ http://youtu.be/MPGqUc770gg  We were very blessed to have this blessed minister of the Gospel in our community!

On Christmas Sunday December 21 we got to hear some very sweet children sing about Jesus!  Thank you to Sara Moon and Mallory Hutchison for your help! http://youtu.be/asCe1_R1XVo

We will be updating this feature on a regular basis, but listed below is a link of the most recent sermon and a sermon from Todd's visit to New York City which is typical of his stories!

Here is a sermon from last year after the pastor (who lives in the COUNTRY) after visiting his daughter in New York City.

When we face crises in our lives it is a comfort to know that the people of God are praying!  When a call blast is done, the pastor or Norma Silkwood sends out a concern to over 50 people at one time.  The good part of this ministry is that it helps to keep facts straight to reduce the possibility of the sharing of wrong information.  It is also great that the pastor makes one call and those who care enough to pray are contacted immediately!  If you want to be a part of the prayer ministry call blast team please call the office at (573)378-4693.

if you want to receive text messages about prayer requests, YOU MUST Opt into the program by texting the word Prayer to 44544. You only need to do this once, and from that point forward you will receive a text message when prayer is needed.

This is a wonderful way for us to know of the prayers that are needed in our community. God Bless You all.
