Pastor Chris Bass
Pastor Chris has had the privilege of serving at FBC Versailles since October 2017.
Part of the joy of serving God at FBC is that he gets to see the Church seeking God and see them growing in their faith!
He met Ashley in Clinton, MO and they were married September 27th, 2008. They enjoy spending time together antiquing and working on projects around the house. His personal interests include reading, writing, anything with tools, hunting, fishing, guitar, and ice cream.
He is originally from a small town just outside of the St. Louis area, Warrenton. It was in this small town that he came to a saving faith in Jesus at the age of eight. Eight years later he believed that God wanted him to serve him full time. The church he grew up in agreed, so they licensed him to the Gospel Ministry in 2000. From that time on, the Lord has opened many opportunities for him to serve Him in various capacities. Chris was ordained in 2016 and served as a Minister of Youth from 2006-2017.
Pastor Chris holds a B.A. in Christian Ministry from Southwest Baptist University, a Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Doctor of Ministry (Leadership Emphasis) degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
One thing that brings Pastor Chris great joy is helping people realize the potential that they have for the kingdom of God. No one has to wait to make an impact–they can make a difference right where they are today! He loves God and loves others. He also loves to creatively share the truths of the Bible, so that people are able to understand them.
